X-O Manowar #68

X-O Manowar #68 was published in 1995 during the second volume of the Valiant Comics series. This era followed the publisher's acquisition by Acclaim Entertainment, a period defined by significant shifts in the company's editorial direction and the aesthetic reinvention of its core superhero properties. The series chronicled the story of Aric of Dacia, a Visigoth warrior who finds himself bonded to a powerful, sentient alien suit of armor in the modern world.

The creative team behind this period sought to modernize the character's legacy, balancing high-concept science fiction with the grounded historical roots established in the early 1990s. While the issue reflects the distinct illustrative style of the mid-90s comic industry, the series remains noted among fans for its persistent attempt to weave complex, long-form continuity into the Valiant Universe despite the turbulent corporate environment of the time.
