Yama to Shokuyoku to Watashi #21

Yama to Shokuyoku to Watashi, translated as Mountains, Appetite, and Me, is a popular seinen manga series written and illustrated by Shinzui Shun. First serialized in Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch web magazine in 2012, the series centers on Ayumi Hibino, a twenty-seven-year-old office worker who enjoys solo mountaineering and outdoor cooking. The series is celebrated for its grounded approach to hiking culture, providing detailed practical advice alongside lighthearted narratives about the solitary enjoyment of nature.

The twenty-first volume continues the series' established focus on the intersection of physical challenge and culinary reward. Like preceding installments, the design and layout prioritize the clarity of mountain trail logistics and the atmospheric depiction of camp meals. It remains a staple of the iyashikei genre, which aims to provide a sense of comfort and healing to the reader through the protagonist's meditative interactions with the Japanese wilderness.
