Yappa Ningen Yamete Seikaidawa #2

Yappa Ningen Yamete Seikaidawa, which translates roughly to 'Turns Out Being Human Is Bad, I’m Quitting,' is a niche manga series that emerged from the vibrant underground doujin culture in Japan. This series reflects the common thematic shift in independent Japanese comics toward existential satire and subversion of typical shonen tropes. It was conceived as a self-published work, characterized by its lo-fi aesthetic and experimental narrative structure, which prioritize quirky social commentary over traditional polish.

The design and illustration of the series are indicative of the artist's focus on raw, character-driven storytelling, opting for loose, emotive linework that captures the protagonist's disillusionment with modern life. As a second issue in a small-run series, it serves as a continuation of the creator's cynical yet humorous investigation into the struggles of existence. Within its community, it is appreciated primarily for its idiosyncratic voice and the authentic, unrefined nature typical of independent artist-led publications.
