Yondome wa Iya na Shizokusei Majutsushi #15

Yondome wa Iya na Shizokusei Majutsushi, known in English as The Death Mage Who Doesn't Want a Fourth Time, began as a web novel series written by Denjiro Inoue, also known as Yusura Kanka. The narrative follows the tragic reincarnation of a protagonist who retains his memories and finds himself entangled in a dark cycle of life and death, eventually wielding death-attribute magic. The series gained significant traction on the web-publishing platform Shosetsuka ni Naro, leading to its transition into a light novel format illustrated by the artist Ban. The sixteenth volume, and the preceding fifteenth, continue the expansion of this intricate fantasy world, balancing themes of survival with unconventional magical progression.

The physical light novels are published by Hobby Japan under their HJ Novels imprint. Ban’s character designs are central to the visual identity of the series, characterized by a detailed, contemporary light novel aesthetic that emphasizes the contrast between the protagonist’s grim abilities and the vibrant fantasy setting. The series is well-regarded for its extensive world-building and character development, which has helped it maintain a loyal readership and secure a dedicated following within the competitive isekai genre. The fifteenth volume serves as a critical junction in the ongoing epic, contributing to the broader story arc that has defined the series since its inception.
