Yonige Seijo no Nidome no Kekkon #1

Yonige Seijo no Nidome no Kekkon, or The Runaway Saint's Second Marriage, originated as a serialized light novel series written by Tsuruichi Hiro and illustrated by the artist Hiiro Yuki. The first volume was published in Japan in 2021, emerging from the popular 'isekai' subgenre that frequently centers on protagonists seeking a fresh start after being betrayed or mistreated in their original social or magical hierarchies. The narrative follows a protagonist who attempts to escape her responsibilities as a saint, only to find herself entangled in a new life, blending themes of fantasy adventure with romance.

The character designs by Hiiro Yuki emphasize the whimsical and slightly melancholic atmosphere of the story, utilizing a light, ethereal aesthetic typical of contemporary light novel illustration. The volume was received as a standard entry in the niche market of 'rejection-based' fantasy romances, finding its audience primarily among readers of digital platforms like Shosetsuka ni Naro. Its physical release marked the beginning of its transition from web-serialized fiction to a more permanent, print-supported media property.
