Barraging Beatdown was released in 2019 as part of the debut set for Flesh and Blood, titled Welcome to Rathe. This foundational expansion introduced the core gameplay mechanics of the trading card game, establishing the class-based combat system where hero abilities and specialized attack cards define the flow of play. As a rare action card associated with the Brute class, it was crafted to exemplify the high-risk, high-reward nature of the game’s design philosophy.

The card’s artwork and mechanical identity were developed by the team at Legend Story Studios, who sought to emphasize the aggressive, visceral combat style characteristic of the Brute character Rhinar.
