Provenance

Where it came from

The Civic Steps card was released as part of the Local Game Store (LGS) promotional series, a program designed to bolster community engagement and provide support for independent tabletop retailers. Distributed as a tournament or event incentive, it serves as a functional tool for gameplay rather than a narrative-heavy lore piece, reflecting the broader initiative to encourage in-person play environments.

The visual design and mechanical utility of this equipment card were developed to balance accessible gameplay with the aesthetic conventions of the series. Its illustration emphasizes the functional nature of the item within the game’s world, crafted to resonate with enthusiasts who prioritize clear, consistent mechanics in their equipment sets. Reception among the player base has been characterized by its utility as a reliable, community-focused collectible.
