Malefic Incantation

Malefic Incantation was introduced as part of the Armory Deck Legends series, specifically tailored for the Viserai, Rune Blood character within the Flesh and Blood trading card game. Released to provide players with a pre-constructed, cohesive strategy for the Runeblade class, this card was designed to leverage Viserai's signature mechanic of creating Runechants to empower future attacks. The development team at Legend Story Studios focused on balancing the card's resource cost against its utility, ensuring it provided a rhythmic flow consistent with the dark, arcane aesthetic established for the character.

The card's visual identity reflects the gothic, high-fantasy art style central to the Flesh and Blood universe, characterized by intricate detail and a somber color palette. As an action card, it serves as a utility piece meant to facilitate mid-game pressure. While not necessarily the centerpiece of high-level competitive builds, it has been received by the community as a foundational component for players learning the nuances of resource management and damage sequencing within the Runeblade archetype.
