Where it came from
Mounting Anger was released as part of the Silver Age Chapter 2 set for the Fai trading card game. This set expanded the game's tactical landscape, introducing mechanics that rewarded players for managing aggression and resource depletion over the course of a match. The card was designed to function as an action-based pivot point, forcing opponents to respond to mounting mechanical pressure.
The card’s aesthetic follows the distinct artistic direction of the Silver Age series, which prioritized minimalist backgrounds and high-contrast, emotive character illustrations. Designed to convey a sense of kinetic tension, the art was well-received by the competitive community for its clear readability and thematic alignment with the Fai game's core philosophy of escalating conflict.
