Runerager Swarm

Runerager Swarm was released as part of the Local Game Store promotional series, a program designed to bolster the community presence of independent hobby shops by providing exclusive, limited-availability game pieces. As an action card within the broader set, it was intended to serve as both a tactical reward for participants and a functional tool for competitive players, often reflecting the mechanics favored by the game's core player base at the time of its issuance.

The design of this promotional card prioritized thematic cohesion with the underlying lore of the game while utilizing distinct visual elements to differentiate it from standard-issue cards. The illustration follows the stylistic guidelines established for the set's promo cycle, which emphasized high-contrast imagery and specialized borders. Upon its release, it was generally well-received by collectors for its utility and its status as a tangible marker of local gaming culture.
