Where it came from
Seek Horizon was released in 2021 as part of Monarch, the second booster set for the trading card game Flesh and Blood. Developed by Legend Story Studios, the set introduced a distinct gothic-fantasy aesthetic, focusing on the conflict between the forces of Light and Shadow in the realm of Rathe. As a rare action card, it was designed to support the gameplay mechanics of the Ranger class, emphasizing the tactical resource management that defines the game's combat system.
The card’s illustration and graphic design were crafted to align with the game's immersive, high-fantasy art direction, which prioritizes painterly, evocative imagery to distinguish itself in the competitive card market. Upon its release, Monarch was widely praised for its balance and the depth of its class-specific card pool, with Seek Horizon recognized as a foundational piece for players building Ranger decks within the game’s competitive meta.
