Where it came from
The Sigil of the Arknight (LGS325) was issued as part of the Local Game Store Promos series, a program designed to incentivize community engagement by rewarding players for participating in organized play events. These cards were distributed exclusively through hobby retailers, serving as both a functional tool for gameplay and a commemorative token that highlighted the importance of physical storefronts in the hobby gaming ecosystem.
The design of the card emphasizes a high-fantasy aesthetic typical of the broader Arknight set, focusing on the titular sigil to evoke a sense of authority and arcane tradition. The illustration sought to balance technical iconography with the gritty, textured art style that defined the core game. Upon release, the promo was well-received by collectors and competitive players alike for its unique foil treatment and its specific utility as an action card within the game's evolving meta.
