Where it came from
The Skullbone Crosswrap is a piece of equipment released as a promotional card for the Flesh and Blood trading card game. It emerged during the early promotional cycles of the game, designed to provide players with a functional defensive tool that fits the aesthetic of the game's brutal, high-stakes combat environment. As a promo, it reflects the developer Legend Story Studios' strategy of rewarding early supporters and tournament participants with unique, visually distinct variants of gameplay essentials.
The visual identity of the card follows the dark fantasy art direction consistent with the Flesh and Blood world of Rathe. Like other items in the promotional set, the design emphasizes intricate, gothic-inspired craftsmanship, aiming to immerse players in the gritty lore of the game's various character classes. Upon its release, the card was received as a sought-after collectible due to its limited availability compared to standard set printings, solidifying its place as a staple for both deck-builders and dedicated collectors of the game's history.
