Whelming Gustwave

Whelming Gustwave was originally released as part of the Welcome to Rathe set, the debut expansion for the Flesh and Blood trading card game designed by James White and published by Legend Story Studios in 2019. It was conceptualized as a foundational action card for the Ninja class, designed to emphasize the game's core combo mechanics by allowing players to chain attacks efficiently. As a common card, it serves a functional role in gameplay, providing players with the ability to bridge attacks while maintaining momentum in aggressive deck builds.

The History Pack 1 edition, released in 2022, was created as a curated reprint set intended to provide newer players with accessible entry points to essential cards from the game’s first year of releases. The card features the distinct, high-fantasy aesthetic established by the game's art team, prioritizing dynamic movement and elemental motifs consistent with the lore of the land of Rathe. Upon its initial release and subsequent inclusion in the History Pack, the card was received as a reliable utility staple for competitive Ninja players.
