Where it came from
Released in 2013 as part of the initial Pop! Games line, this figure depicts Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, the central protagonist of the original Assassin's Creed game. Funko produced this collectible to coincide with the enduring popularity of the Ubisoft franchise, capturing the character in his iconic white robes and hidden blade gauntlet. It served as a milestone for the Games series, which sought to bring prominent interactive entertainment icons into the signature stylized aesthetic of the Pop! vinyl collection.
The figure features the standard Funko design language, characterized by a large, square-shaped head, small black bead eyes, and a simplified, compact body. The design choice aimed to distill Altaïr’s intricate medieval Middle Eastern assassin attire into a minimalist, mass-market format. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series and established a template for how subsequent Assassin's Creed characters would be represented in the Funko ecosystem.
