Where it came from
The Murloc figure, released as number 33 in the Funko Pop! Games series, represents one of the most iconic and recognizable creatures from the World of Warcraft franchise. Designed as a stylized vinyl collectible, it captures the signature wide-eyed, amphibian aesthetic of the Murloc race, which has been a staple enemy and mascot of the Warcraft universe since the early days of Blizzard Entertainment's massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
This specific purple variant is part of the broader line of World of Warcraft figures that Funko produced to cater to the game's massive global player base. The design philosophy of the Pop! Games line focuses on simplifying complex digital character models into the characteristic 'chibi-style' aesthetic, emphasizing the oversized head and minimalist features that define the brand. Upon release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series, serving as a nostalgic desk companion for long-time players of the game.
