Red Ranger (Metallic) (Action Pose)

The Red Ranger (Metallic) (Action Pose) figure, identified as number 406 in the Pop! Television line, was produced by Funko to celebrate the enduring legacy of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise. Released to capture the aesthetic of the original 1993 television series, this specific variant features a specialized metallic paint application intended to evoke the high-tech, armored appearance of the character's suit. It represents a common practice within the Pop! collecting community of releasing 'chase' or exclusive variants that offer unique finishes on established fan-favorite character designs.

The design of the figure leans heavily into the iconic imagery of the Red Ranger, depicting him in a dynamic action pose that contrasts with the traditional static stance of earlier Pop! models. Funko’s design team sought to blend their signature stylized aesthetic—characterized by oversized heads and simplified features—with the nostalgic appeal of the Rangers' original costumes. The item was well-received by collectors who specialize in the Power Rangers line, particularly those interested in variant finishes that distinguish their collections from standard mass-market releases.
