Where it came from
The Rubber Man figure, numbered 169 in the Funko Pop Television line, was released to coincide with the popularity of American Horror Story: Murder House. Funko developed this piece to capture the enigmatic and unsettling aesthetic of the series' most iconic recurring antagonist, a character whose suit serves as both a literal and metaphorical vessel for the dark history of the Harmon family's home.
The design intentionally leans into the minimalist, monochromatic look of the character's signature latex suit, distilled into the classic stylized Pop format. By reducing the character to its most recognizable features—the featureless mask and tight silhouette—Funko aimed to evoke the same creepiness found in the show. It was received as a standout entry in the collection, appealing primarily to fans of the series' horror-driven visual style.
