Where it came from
The RV Walker Pop! vinyl figure, numbered 15 in the Pop! Television series, was released by Funko to commemorate the iconic opening sequence of the television series The Walking Dead. First appearing in the show's pilot episode, the character is a reanimated corpse discovered by Rick Grimes inside an abandoned recreational vehicle, serving as one of the earliest examples of the show's practical makeup effects work.
The design of this figure leans into the grotesque aesthetic popularized by the series, featuring the weathered, decaying skin textures and tattered clothing characteristic of the show's walkers. Funko’s design team opted for a stylized approach that balances the grim nature of the character with the clean, uniform proportions of the Pop! line, which helped establish the company's early dominance in the horror-themed collectibles market.
