Where it came from
Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo was released as part of the Funko Pop! Star Wars collection, numbered 235, to coincide with the 2017 theatrical debut of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. The figure represents a pivotal character in the sequel trilogy, introduced as the temporary commander of the Resistance fleet during a period of extreme crisis for the organization.
The design of the figure captures Holdo's distinct aesthetic, characterized by her lavender hair and flowing, formal attire, reflecting the unique visual direction established by costume designer Michael Kaplan for the film. Like much of the broader Star Wars Pop! line, the piece was produced to capture the character's key appearance for fans and collectors, maintaining the signature stylized, large-headed aesthetic that has defined the Funko brand's mass-market appeal.
