Where it came from
The 3 Little Indians set, numbered 805-2, was produced by Lego in the 1970s as part of the company's early expansion into themed character sets. This period marked a transition for the brand as it moved beyond basic construction bricks toward more narrative-driven play, reflecting a mid-century European design philosophy that prioritized simple, recognizable geometric forms to represent figures.
The design of these figures predates the standardized Lego minifigure with movable limbs that would debut in 1978. Instead, these pieces utilized static, block-based construction consistent with the 'Legoland' era aesthetic. The set is viewed today as a snapshot of the company's experimental approach to character-based branding, aimed at integrating cultural archetypes into the modular building system.
