Where it came from
The ADU Walker, released as set 30140-1, was issued in 2012 as a promotional polybag set associated with the LEGO Alien Conquest theme. The set was designed to capture the aesthetic of the series’ extraterrestrial antagonists, featuring a small, tripod-like walking vehicle that reflects the retro-futuristic, 1950s science fiction tropes central to the theme's visual identity.
This model was primarily distributed through retail promotions and LEGO brand store events to drive interest in the Alien Conquest line. While it is a modest build consisting of a limited number of parts, it is appreciated by collectors for its efficient use of elements to convey the iconic, spindly silhouette of the theme’s alien technology, serving as a distinct companion piece to the larger, more complex sets in the series.
