Where it came from
Released in 2023 as part of the LEGO Friends 'New Generation' relaunch, Aliya's Room (41740-1) represents a shift toward more diverse characters and relatable, modern storytelling. The set was designed to reflect the personality of Aliya, an academic, ambitious, and organized student, featuring details such as a desk, a laptop, a rotating chair, and a bookshelf that highlight her focus on studies and creative hobbies.
The aesthetic of the set draws on the updated vibrant, saturated color palette characteristic of the Friends line, emphasizing modularity and interior design. As one of the introductory sets of the refreshed theme, it was intended to anchor the new cast of characters in their domestic environments, moving away from the town-centric focus of earlier years to offer deeper character-driven play experiences.
