Where it came from
Released in 2017 as part of the LEGO Juniors line, Andrea and Stephanie’s Beach Holiday was designed to bridge the gap between DUPLO and standard system bricks. The set was conceived to provide a building experience suitable for younger children who were transitioning to more complex sets, utilizing larger pre-molded components to simplify assembly while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the LEGO Friends theme.
The set depicts a seaside scene featuring two iconic characters from the Friends franchise, Andrea and Stephanie. It reflects the design language of the era, which favored vibrant, coastal-themed palettes and playful accessories like surfboards, a dolphin, and a beach hut. Upon its debut, it was recognized for its accessibility and focus on narrative-driven play, serving as an entry point for younger fans to engage with the Friends line's social and creative world.
