Antonio's Animal Sanctuary

Released by the LEGO Group in 2025, Antonio's Animal Sanctuary (set 43251-1) serves as a creative expansion within the Disney Encanto-themed product line. This set was designed to capture the vibrant, tropical aesthetic of the Madrigal family home's internal ecosystem, specifically highlighting Antonio’s magical ability to communicate with wildlife. The build incorporates distinct modular elements intended to mimic the lush environment of the film's sanctuary, reflecting the company’s ongoing strategy of producing character-focused playsets that bridge the gap between building toys and narrative-driven storytelling.

The design process for this set focused on integrating play features that emphasize animal interaction, utilizing a color palette inspired by the rich, earthy tones of the jungle scenes featured in the animated film. Like many modern LEGO sets themed around cinematic properties, it balances intricate aesthetic details with structural stability suitable for younger builders. Reception among the hobbyist community has generally centered on its utility as a display piece for those collecting the wider Encanto range, as it provides unique minifigure-scale representations of the animals found within the sanctuary.
