Where it came from
Released in 2019 as part of the LEGO Minifigures series tied to The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, this iteration of Emmet Brickowski was designed to reflect the character's post-apocalyptic evolution within the film's narrative. The minifigure captures a grittier aesthetic compared to the original protagonist, featuring a unique dual-sided head print, a specialized headphones accessory, and printed detailing that suggests a journey through the harsh environment of Apocalypseburg.
The figure was conceptualized by the LEGO design team to offer fans a distinct, collectible representation of the film's lead character. By moving away from his standard construction uniform, the design choice emphasizes the cinematic transition of the franchise. It was distributed in blind bags, a strategy that encouraged collector engagement and ensured this specific variant became a sought-after piece within the broader LEGO Movie 2 series.
