Batman

Released in 2011 as part of the LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes line, the 4526 Batman buildable figure was designed to offer a stylized, action-oriented interpretation of the character. This set was produced during a period when the company was experimenting with the 'Constraction' format, which utilized Technic-based building techniques to create larger, more articulated humanoid figures than traditional minifigures allowed. The design aesthetic emphasized a sleek, armored look that drew inspiration from contemporary comic book portrayals of the Dark Knight.

The figure features a molded cowl and chest plate, paired with a poseable fabric cape to capture Batman's signature silhouette. While the buildable figure series garnered a niche following among collectors who appreciated the dynamic posing capabilities and unique armor components, it was met with mixed reactions from purists who preferred standard minifigure-scale sets. The set remains a notable piece of mid-era LEGO design history, reflecting the company's efforts to blend traditional brick assembly with modular action figure mechanics.
