Where it came from
The LEGO Star Wars Battle of Endor set, released in 2019 as set 40362, was created to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme. As a micro-scale representation of the forest moon's climactic battle, it reflects the design language of the popular 'Micro-Scale' series, which prioritizes iconic architectural silhouettes and vehicle shapes over minifigure-scale playability.
This set was initially offered as a promotional gift-with-purchase during the Triple Force Friday event in October 2019. Its design captures the essence of the Ewok village and the shield generator bunker, a classic aesthetic choice that resonated with adult collectors who appreciate compact, display-oriented models that evoke nostalgia for the original trilogy.
