Where it came from
Released in 2011 as part of the short-lived LEGO Kingdoms subtheme, Blacksmith Attack (set 6918) was designed as an entry-level addition to the medieval fantasy line. The set was created to provide a functional, accessible building experience that complemented the larger castle structures of the period, focusing on a compact blacksmith workshop scene featuring a knight and a blacksmith minifigure.
The set followed the design conventions of the mid-2000s and early 2010s, utilizing a modular style that allowed the workshop to be integrated into larger town layouts. It was well-regarded by collectors for its inclusion of specialized tools and the high level of detail packed into a small piece count, effectively serving as an essential utility building within the broader Kingdoms narrative of chivalry and medieval industry.
