Where it came from
The Bonnie Bunny set, released under the reference number 3627-1, emerged during a period when the brand was expanding its portfolio of small, character-focused builds. Designed to appeal to a younger demographic, the set reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of its era, prioritizing accessible construction techniques and simple, emotive character design. It stands as a modest example of the brand’s exploration into anthropomorphic animal figures, which were intended to serve as approachable, standalone play pieces.
The creative direction for this set focused on clarity of form and playability. The designers aimed to capture a friendly, recognizable persona through a limited piece count, ensuring that the model could be assembled quickly and enjoyed immediately. Upon its release, the set was received as a charming addition to the wider catalog, noted by enthusiasts for its clean lines and its utility as a budget-friendly gift item.
