Where it came from
Released in the early 2000s, this bonus pack reflects a common retail strategy where manufacturers bundled existing inventory into a single package to boost sales. Such value packs were frequently deployed by companies to move surplus stock, often featuring a combination of small sets or individual figures that had been previously released as standalone items.
The design of this specific set followed the standard packaging aesthetics of its era, prioritizing high-visibility window boxes or clear plastic blister packs to entice collectors and parents alike. These value packs generally lacked the thematic cohesion of larger, purpose-built sets, serving instead as a convenient sampler for those interested in acquiring a variety of components from a particular toy line at a perceived discount.
