Where it came from
The BrickLink 25th Anniversary set, identified as 5009260-1, was released in 2024 to commemorate the quarter-century milestone of the BrickLink platform. Following its acquisition by the LEGO Group in 2019, BrickLink transitioned from an independent marketplace to a fully integrated division, and this set serves as a celebratory nod to the community of builders, designers, and traders who have sustained the platform since its inception in 2000.
The design of the set pays homage to the site's history, featuring a stylized rendition of the BrickLink logo and iconic elements that reflect the platform's focus on fan-driven creativity. It was distributed primarily through specific community events and internal company channels to honor long-standing members and staff. The aesthetic remains grounded in a clean, minimalist style that emphasizes the heritage of the marketplace rather than traditional play-set functionality.
