Where it came from
Building My SG - Reflect, Celebrate, Inspire (2000446-1) was released by the LEGO Group as an internal promotional set designed exclusively for employees of the Singapore office. Distributed to mark the SG50 jubilee celebrations, the set commemorates Singapore's fiftieth year of independence in 2015. It reflects the company’s desire to foster a sense of local pride and corporate belonging among its regional staff during a significant national milestone.
The design of the set focuses on architectural motifs iconic to the Singaporean skyline, distilled into a minimalist LEGO aesthetic. It was developed by the creative team within the Singapore headquarters to act as a tangible symbol of the 'reflect, celebrate, inspire' theme, which encouraged employees to acknowledge past achievements while looking toward future innovations. As a corporate gift produced in limited quantities for internal distribution, it has since become a sought-after rarity among collectors interested in region-specific LEGO branding.
