Bulk & Vapour

Released in 2004 under the short-lived LEGO Clickits line, Bulk & Vapour (7179-1) represents a distinct departure from the company's traditional interlocking brick system. The theme focused on wearable accessories and customizable decorative elements, aimed primarily at a younger demographic interested in jewelry and personalized craft aesthetics. This specific set provided the functional components—the 'Bulk' and 'Vapour' figures—designed to serve as tactile accents for bracelets or other Clickits-compatible items.

The design philosophy behind the Clickits range prioritized aesthetic versatility and self-expression, utilizing a proprietary stud-and-socket connection mechanism that differed from standard LEGO elements. While the series was intended to bridge the gap between building toys and fashion accessories, it faced mixed reception from the core hobbyist community, who often found the non-standard pieces incompatible with traditional construction sets. Consequently, the line was discontinued after a few years, leaving sets like this one as a notable example of the company's experimental era in the early 2000s.
