Where it came from
Released in 2011 as part of the Lego Duplo Ville subtheme, the Busy Farm set (6759-1) was designed for preschool-aged children to encourage imaginative play through the depiction of rural life. The set fits into the broader Duplo design philosophy of using larger, rounded bricks that are easy for small hands to grasp and safe for toddlers to assemble, focusing on durability and simple, recognizable structures.
The set includes several iconic farm-themed elements, such as a tractor, a barn, and various livestock figures, which align with the classic Duplo aesthetic of the era. By incorporating bright, primary colors and modular pieces, the designers aimed to provide a versatile play experience that allowed children to create their own agricultural scenarios, a staple of the Duplo catalog that has maintained consistent popularity for decades.
