CORE HUNTER

Released in 2013, Core Hunter was part of the Hero Factory theme, a Lego construction line that succeeded Bionicle and utilized a specialized ball-and-socket building system. The set was designed to represent a recurring villain within the narrative, characterized by his ability to absorb the powers and components of the heroes he defeated. The design reflects the series' move toward a more modular, action-figure-oriented aesthetic that favored high-mobility play over traditional brick building.

The figure was illustrated and engineered with an aggressive, asymmetrical look, emphasizing the character's status as a formidable antagonist. Its visual identity was consistent with the 'Brain Attack' wave, which introduced parasitic creatures that attached to the heads of figures.
