Where it came from
Crayon Girl, identified as minifigure 5 from the LEGO Minifigures Series 19 released in 2019, represents a playful exploration of childhood creativity within the brand's long-running blind-bagged character collections. The design features a young girl wearing a literal crayon costume, complete with a conical cap and printed tunic, reflecting the series' tendency to anthropomorphize everyday objects and whimsical concepts through creative plastic molding.
The figure was conceptualized by the LEGO design team to serve as a lighthearted addition to the broader Series 19 lineup, which focused on distinct, expressive characters rather than tied-in licensed intellectual properties. Upon its release, it was well-received by collectors for its clever use of color and the unique conical hat piece, which added a new structural element to the existing library of minifigure accessories.
