Where it came from
The LEGO Star Wars set 75324, titled Dark Trooper Attack, was released in 2022 to commemorate the dramatic season two finale of The Mandalorian. It depicts the hallway scene where Luke Skywalker systematically disables a squad of Imperial Dark Troopers. The set was designed to capture a specific, high-tension cinematic moment, prioritizing play features that allow for sliding door mechanisms and rotating lightsaber combat sequences.
The set is widely noted by collectors for its inclusion of three Dark Trooper minifigures alongside a version of Luke Skywalker, making it a popular choice for army building. Designers aimed for a compact, diorama-style build that effectively utilized vertical space to represent the claustrophobic corridors of the light cruiser. Upon its release, it received positive reception for its focus on a singular, iconic scene rather than a large vehicle, representing a shift in the LEGO Star Wars product strategy toward more affordable, display-oriented sets.
