Where it came from
Date Night Marge was released in 2014 as part of the inaugural series of LEGO Minifigures based on The Simpsons. This collectible series was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the long-running animated television show, marking a significant collaboration between The LEGO Group and 20th Century Fox. The figure captures Marge Simpson in her iconic dress and tall blue hair, specifically styled for her date night look as seen in the series.
The design of the figure aimed to replicate the distinctive aesthetic of the show's characters within the constraints of the standard LEGO minifigure form. Designers focused on custom molds for the hair and head pieces to ensure the proportions remained faithful to Matt Groening’s original character designs. Upon its release, the series was well-received by both LEGO enthusiasts and fans of the show for its high level of detail and character-accurate printing.
