Donut Shop

The LEGO Friends Donut Shop, released in 2023 under set number 41723, represents the refreshed design philosophy of the long-standing Friends theme. Launched as part of a soft reboot of the series, this set was created to introduce a new generation of diverse characters and inclusive play scenarios while maintaining the modular, brightly colored aesthetic synonymous with the line. The design focuses on accessible construction for younger builders, emphasizing playability through a compact footprint that features a rotating storefront and miniature accessories.

The set was designed by the LEGO Group's internal development team as an entry-level building experience. It is notable for its move toward more realistic proportions and detailed interior elements, reflecting a design shift intended to make the Friends universe feel more grounded and representative of contemporary life. Upon its release, the set was well-received by parents and collectors for its high play value-to-piece ratio, serving as a popular standalone item that illustrates the evolution of the brand’s focus on storytelling and character-driven play.
