Drowned and Hero

The LEGO Minecraft Drowned and Hero set, identified as 662405-1, emerged during a period of LEGO's ongoing partnership with Mojang to translate the sandbox mechanics of the game into physical building experiences. Released as a promotional or boutique polybag set, it serves as a focused character pack designed to offer fans specific mobs and player skins that are otherwise cumbersome to obtain in larger, more expensive terrain-based sets. Its creation reflects a broader strategy of offering bite-sized entries into the Minecraft theme that prioritize collectible minifigures over extensive environmental builds.

The design of the figures adheres to the established aesthetic of the theme, where the blocky geometry of Minecraft is translated into standard LEGO brick-compatible proportions. The Drowned figure captures the specific aquatic zombie variation from the game's Update Aquatic, featuring the iconic trident and weathered skin tone, while the Hero skin represents the classic player-avatar archetype. These figures were received well by the community for their utility in dioramas and the accessibility they provide to players looking to build out their armies of hostile mobs without the need for larger set investments.
