Where it came from
Released in 2002 as part of the Lego Duplo Winnie the Pooh collection, this set was designed to introduce younger children to the Hundred Acre Wood through interactive, large-scale building blocks. The set captures a poignant scene from the A.A. Milne source material, featuring the melancholy donkey Eeyore paired with a raincloud attachment, emphasizing the brand's focus on character-driven play and early developmental storytelling.
The design of the figures and the accompanying landscape reflects the simplified, durable aesthetic characteristic of the Duplo line, specifically tailored for toddler dexterity. While these sets were intended for a younger demographic than traditional Lego systems, they were well-received by parents and collectors for their faithful representation of the classic Winnie the Pooh animation style, cementing their place as a staple of early-2000s character-based toy sets.
