Elite Praetorian Guard

The Elite Praetorian Guard set, released in 2017 as part of the Lego Star Wars Constraction line, was designed to coincide with the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The figure represents the elite warriors tasked with protecting Supreme Leader Snoke, characterized by their striking red armor and intricate, segmented plating. This building set utilized the ball-and-socket system common to the Star Wars buildable figures series, allowing for dynamic posing to replicate the guard's combat style seen in the film.

The design team at the Lego Group aimed to capture the sleek, specialized aesthetic of the Praetorian Guards while maintaining the functional playability of the large-scale figure format. As a member of the late-stage wave of the Constraction theme, the model was received by collectors as a faithful representation of the on-screen design, notable for its unique weapon accessories and the color-accurate plastic molding used to differentiate the guards from earlier, more utilitarian character figures in the series.
