Where it came from
The Emma set, cataloged as 3132-1, was released in the late 1990s as part of a short-lived line of buildable figures. These sets were developed during a period of experimentation within the company to broaden its portfolio beyond traditional brick-based construction, aiming to compete with the rising popularity of poseable action figures and character-centric play themes.
The design of the figure reflects the minimalist aesthetic prevalent in the manufacturer's late-century offerings, focusing on simple geometry and modular interchangeability. While the line did not achieve the longevity of core themes, it remains a notable example of the company's efforts to explore narrative-driven figure kits, reflecting a transition toward the more specialized character designs that would eventually define later series.
