Where it came from
Released in 2002, the Evil Ogel Attack set (4798-1) emerged as part of the short-lived LEGO Alpha Team sub-theme featuring the antagonist Ogel. Designed during an era of significant experimentation for the company, the set focuses on the conflict between the heroic Alpha Team and the villainous Ogel’s attempts to control the world through mind-controlling orbs.
The set centers on a small, utilitarian vehicle piloted by Ogel and a standard Alpha Team drone, reflecting the aesthetic of early-2000s sci-fi design within the LEGO system. It was received as a budget-friendly way for collectors to obtain the Ogel minifigure and his signature skeleton-like headpiece, which became iconic among fans of the futuristic themes from that period.
