Where it came from
The Experiment 626 minifigure, released as part of the LEGO Minifigures Disney Series 3 in 2023, represents the protagonist of the 2002 animated film Lilo & Stitch. The figure was designed to capture the character's signature four-armed appearance, utilizing a unique dual-molded piece to represent his additional limbs. This specific design choice allowed LEGO to maintain the standard minifigure silhouette while honoring the alien physiology defined by Chris Sanders, the film's co-director and creator of the character.
This entry into the blind-bagged series was met with significant enthusiasm from collectors due to the character's enduring popularity and the technical execution of the accessory design. The inclusion of his twin blaster accessories added a layer of detail that resonated with long-term fans of the franchise. It fits into the broader tradition of LEGO Disney collaborations, which prioritize expressive, compact character renditions that appeal to both children and adult collectors of animated memorabilia.
