Where it came from
Released in 2012 as part of the LEGO Racers line, this set was designed as a promotional polybag to commemorate the iconic Ferrari F40. The model focuses on capturing the distinctive wedge-shaped silhouette and rear spoiler of the 1987 supercar within a very compact scale, utilizing a limited piece count to translate the car's bold lines into the brick medium.
The design prioritizes the recognition of the F40's signature red bodywork and aerodynamic profile, adhering to the standard aesthetic of small-scale LEGO promotional vehicles from that era. It was received by fans as a charming miniature tribute to the legendary Ferrari, serving as an accessible entry point for collectors who appreciate the historical significance of the F40 without the space requirements of larger scale display models.
