Friends 10th anniversary golden minidoll

The FRIENDS10-1 golden minidoll was produced as a commemorative release to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the LEGO Friends theme. Introduced in 2022, the set was designed to honor the evolution of the brand, which launched in 2012 as a distinct interpretation of the minifigure system. The aesthetic shift toward the minidoll format was initially a point of debate among long-time fans, but it eventually proved successful by offering a more stylized, character-focused play experience that resonated with a new generation of builders.

The design of this anniversary figure utilizes a metallic gold finish to signify its status as a collector’s item within the broader Friends toy line. It was crafted by the internal design team in Billund, who sought to bridge the gap between the original play patterns of the Friends universe and the modern, more detailed sets that define the current era. Its release served as both a milestone marker for the theme and a nostalgic nod to the specific character designs that helped establish the Friends series as a pillar of the contemporary construction toy market.
