Where it came from
The Glinda & Elphaba Visit Munchkinland set, identified as LEGO set 75690-1, was released in late 2024 to coincide with the cinematic adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked. The set was designed to capture the iconic arrival of the characters in the vibrant, whimsical landscape of Munchkinland, serving as a tie-in product for the film's theatrical debut.
The design prioritizes the aesthetic of the film's production, utilizing a specialized color palette to distinguish the distinct styles of Glinda and Elphaba. LEGO designers aimed to create a diorama-style experience that reflects the characters' initial introduction, balancing the whimsical nature of the source material with the functional constraints of the building system.
