House

The Weetabix House (WEETABIX3-1) originated as part of a highly successful promotional campaign in the 1970s, where Weetabix included miniature cardboard building components within their cereal boxes. The campaign encouraged children to collect various structures, such as shops and homes, to assemble a complete cardboard village. This initiative was part of a broader marketing trend in the United Kingdom during the era, utilizing cereal box back panels and inserts to foster brand loyalty through interactive, collectible play.

The design of these structures was intended to be simple yet engaging, characterized by vibrant, flat illustrations that captured the quintessential aesthetic of a British high street. While the specific illustrator remains uncredited in public archives, the series is remembered for its distinct, colorful visual identity which resonated with a generation of collectors. These items were widely received with enthusiasm by families at the time, though their ephemeral nature as cardboard cutouts makes well-preserved, unused examples increasingly uncommon today.
